More progress on Burns Church!

new front doors and stained glass

A couple of days ago I drove past the former Burns Church and noticed they had the new front doors installed!  Today, I see that the stained glass in the windows is also in place.  It has been very exciting to watch this building come back with the work done by Howorth & Associates.

A recent article in the Oxford Eagle indicated the building would be completed by summer 2013.  Additional details on the work are available at the Burns-Belfry Museum and Multicultural Center website.

You should have seen the sun shining off the new stained glass windows this evening…some times, a camera just cannot do justice to what the human eye sees.
