The best way to eat oatmeal on Friday

Ah, Friday at last, and the paper is not only done, we already have the acceptance and a pending publication date. I celebrated by sleeping late, and having oatmeal and Laughing Man for breakfast. The oatmeal chocolate chip cookies I made yesterday were perfect with a cup of strong and dark Laughing Man coffee. It is approaching winter when I switch to coffee instead of tea. The sun is shining for the first day in days, with clear blue skies and the promise of things drying out a bit. It feels rather like coming out of the dark into the less dark.

First time I’ve heard of changing between coffee and tea with the seasons. Amazing idea!

My family alternated between hot tea and coffee, so I may have picked it up there. I just find as the seasons get warmer, I am less interested in coffee, and truly, I can drink tea when it has cooled, but not coffee! I am behind on my mail, but my response is coming, and I thank you for your thoughtfulness of the book. It turned out beautifully.

Sunshine just seems to make everything better. Have been so tired of these gray, cloudy, and rainy days. Like the picture of the bench and its two occupants.Ha
