Yes, it is time for the first snow of the winter, and the resulting flurries of snow pictures. This is what amounts to a big snow day here on Taylor Hill. Hopefully, the rest of us do not have to work this hard for breakfast today.

It won’t last long; will be sunny and warmer the next 3 days!

Something to enjoy while it lasts, then. 🙂 I’ve always thought that’s part of what makes snow so special, at least where I live – the beautiful winter wonderland never lasts long.

True; I probably would not fare too well in Maine or Idaho.

Same here. I always think it would be so lovely to live somewhere with more snow, and then I remember that snow means work. And I’m not a huge fan of shoveling driveways and digging out cars.

Thank you. I almost missed the deer.

I loved your photos. We have had light snow all morning with nothing to show for it.

Thank you. It really started coming down heavier later, and built up a bit in places, but it is melting now.

Beautiful and I love the deer! So peaceful. We had a little flurry of snow Sunday afternoon and the deck froze over just before about 30 minutes of off and on sleeting. Today, just dad gum cold!

I did enjoy watching the deer get to the leaves under the snow. The birds were pecking through the snow, too, to get to the seeds.
