First magnolia buds!

First magnolia buds–the fuzzy little holder!

Yesterday evening as I sat outside in the late sun, I spotted the first bud appearing on the magnolia. I counted 8 from where I sat.

There are way more than 8 of them visible this afternoon!

The wildflowers are popping up everywhere, too, and there was a small orange and black butterfly flitting through the daisies. It is hot today with a high of 82…just wait until July and August! And in other news, if it ever stops raining, the water treatment system installation scheduled and rescheduled and rescheduled may actually become reality. And in more other news, son got me an early Mom’s day present…a new limb saw. Does he know me or what?

Yes! We are enjoying 80 degree temps, too! Oh yea, we’re in the same state. 🙂 It’s so nice to be warm! Can’t wait to see the blooms.

It should be hotter when you get to your final destination! I am currently sweating from doing yard work…bummer! I waved at you, but I think the trees were in the way. 🙂

  5. Congratulations on the new limb saw! I bought myself one a few years ago but it has vanished into Dan’s garage… 🙄
