Another ‘at last’: Retaining wall backfill complete

The backfill is finally complete! My back thanks me.

Yesterday I woke early, it was cool and crisp out, and I had vowed to finish that backfill on the retaining wall. My little green gorilla cart and I hauled buckets full of dirt over and up. Yesterday, I exceeded move goals, exercise goals, and steps.

Raccoon proofing the flower pot stand!

Time for the celebration! It was perfect for a fire and traffic watch. Afterwards, I mowed the back yard with the electric push mower so I could clean up from having moved the bridge to the front. The grass had grown back in across the Suzasippi Creek, and the bridge was no longer needed. I am working in the front again today, and making great progress!

I am the boss! I had Grandma on my mind all day yesterday, and sometimes I even chatted with her. I think she could have built a house with baling wire and twine–she sure used both of them enough holding things together.

Way to go accomplishing the things around your home. Well I love a wood fire – My husband has a fire in the stove in his shop. on cold days. We had a wood stove in our house where we use to live. Love sitting around a camp fire.
